Set-up guide for Framer
Make it yours.
Twelve steps to turn the sample firm into your firm. Most take a few minutes.
Start here
Open the remix link from your order email, sign in or sign up with Google or any email, then click Copy. You edit your own copy.
1. Name and contact
Replace “Tallyrow”, the address, email and phone in the Nav and Footer components and on About and Contact. Search the canvas for “sample”.
2. Colours
Assets → Colors. Each style has a light and a dark value. Indigo is the accent; Deep is the dark band colour.
3. Fonts
Assets → Text styles. The template uses Newsreader, Geist and Geist Mono from Google Fonts.
4. Services
CMS → Services. Each item fills a service page, the Services ledger, the footer links and related cards. Steps 1–3 fill “How it runs”.
5. Fees
CMS → Plans fills the fee schedule on Home. The Plans component on Pricing and the Fee estimator are edited on the canvas (Components).
6. Team and testimonials
CMS → Team and Testimonials. Add real portraits and only quotes you have permission to use.
7. FAQs
CMS → FAQs. Topic decides where each answer appears (Home shows General).
8. Guides and deadlines
CMS → Posts and Deadlines. Dates are samples: check them for your jurisdiction.
9. Forms
Select each form (Contact, footer newsletter) and set where submissions go: Framer Forms, email or a webhook.
10. Theme toggle
The toggle follows the visitor’s device until they click it, then remembers the choice. In the Nav component you can set its default to Light or Dark. It only works in Preview and on the published site, not on the editor canvas; use the canvas theme switch to check dark styles while editing.
11. Motion
Elements fade and rise into view. Site Settings → keep “Reduced motion” on so visitors who prefer less motion see none.
12. SEO
Each page has its own title, description and social image in Page Settings. Service and Post pages take theirs from the CMS SEO fields.

Do I need a paid Framer plan?
No. A free Framer account is enough to copy and edit. Your own domain needs a paid site plan.
It opens, but I can’t edit?
Sign in, then click Copy. You edit your own copy, not the original.
The theme toggle does nothing?
It works in Preview and on the published site, not on the editor canvas.
